MVTec announces new distributor and certified training partner in Italy
|
|
|
(April 14, 2010) |
|
|
Since April 2010, the distribution of MVTec machine vision software
products in Italy is performed by Image S srl
(Mariano Comense, Italy).
Besides the distribution of HALCON and ActivVisionTools, Image S will
also provide high-level technical support for MVTec's software products.
Image S, Italy's largest machine vision component distributor, decided
to complete its product-portfolio by MVTec software to meet the
requirements of a growing market for highly sophisticated machine
vision standard software. According to Paolo Longoni, managing
director of Image S, also in Italy the growing demand in 3D
applications becomes more and more important, one of the main reasons
for the decision to distribute MVTec software.
"Italy is one of the most outstanding industrial markets in Europe",
says Dr. Olaf Munkelt, MVTec's managing director.
"Thus, MVTec wants to expand its sales activities in this important
country. We are sure that Image S will meet our requirements in a
distinguished way."
Recently, the Image S distribution and support team was trained by
MVTec to become a member of the MVTec Certified Training
Partner Program. Thus, not only the qualified distribution
and first level support for all MVTec software products is guaranteed
by Image S right from the start, but also the qualification to hold
HALCON trainings for customers.

MVTec welcomes 33rd image acquisition partner
|
|
|
(October 28, 2009) |
|
|
MVTec welcomes the companies ADLINK, Crevis, Kappa, MATRIX VISION, and
Sentech as new partners of the MVTec Image Acquisition Partner
(IAP) Program. With now more than 30 qualified members
worldwide, the program continues to be the largest image acquisition
partner network at the market.
Two years ago during the VISION show in Stuttgart, MVTec founded the IAP
Program. Now the number of partners has increased to 33. MVTec will
celebrate this success by hosting a partner meeting at the VISION 2009 in
November.
"At the beginning, we could not anticipate this rapid growth of the MVTec
Image Acquisition Partner Program", declares MVTec's product manager
Christoph Zierl. "All the more, I am pleased to invite our partners at
this year's VISION show in Stuttgart to the MVTec IAP meeting to refer
newest information and to strengthen our partnership."
The intention of the MVTec IAP program is to provide a maximum of support
and flexibility to the customer. It enables customers to choose the image
acquisition devices that are best suited to their application and connect
them seamlessly to MVTec software (HALCON or ActivVisionTools). Thus,
MVTec maintains a close partnership to important manufacturers of cameras
and frame grabbers. This partnership leads to a deeper understanding of
each other's products and ensures the trouble-free integration of
software and hardware at the customer's application.

MVTec now welcomes the Italian system integrator Digital Control
Engineering as the twentieth member of its partner program. This
program features engineering companies which excel in providing high
quality solutions based on MVTec software (HALCON and ActivVisionTools).
MVTec only awards selected system integrators. The "MVTec Certified
Integration Partner Program" was launched in 2006 to create a worldwide
community of handpicked and proven engineering companies which
implement machine vision applications with MVTec software. As a sign of
outstanding confidence, these companies obtain the certificate "MVTec
Certified Integration Partner".
"I am pleased to see the MVTec Certified Integration Partner Program
continuously growing", says Dr. Olaf Munkelt, MVTec's managing
director. "Being in a situation with a rapidly changing market, it is
of great importance to serve as a reliable partner to the customer to
anticipate their requirements and to jointly work on solutions. That's
what the CI-Partners stand for. Also in the future we will continue to
provide benefits for our customers by means of innovations within MVTec
products and the competence of our CI-Partners."
In 2009, the following companies have been newly certified up to now:
Machine Vision Consulting (USA), Escad Automation (Germany), Resolution
Technology (USA), Digital Control Engineering (Italy) und Kilby di

MVTec announces new distributor in Spain, Portugal, and Latin America
|
|
|
(April 01, 2009) |
|
|
From April 1 2009, the distribution of MVTec machine vision software
products in products in Spain, Portugal, and Latin America
(Mexico, Brasil, Chile, Colombia, and Argentina) is performed by
INFAIMON.
INFAIMON will not only distribute HALCON and ActivVisionTools, but also
provide high-level technical support for it.
According to Salvador Giró, CEO of INFAIMON Group, the current machine
vision market demands more sophisticated software tools that could
work on different platforms, such as Windows or Linux. In addition,
the growing demand in 3D applications becomes more and more important.
All this, together with the well-proven quality of HALCON caused
INFAIMON's decision to include software of MVTec in its
product-portfolio of leading vision suppliers.
"Spain and Portugal are increasingly evolving to outstanding
industrial markets", states Dr. Olaf Munkelt, MVTec's managing
director, "and Latin America has a big potential for industrial
development. Thus, MVTec wants to expand its sales activities in
all these important countries. We are sure that INFAIMON will meet
our requirements in a distinguished way."

Munkelt, MVTec's managing director. "Thus, MVTec wants to expand its sales
activities in this region. We are sure that Parameter will meet our
requirements in a distinguished way."
"HALCON's extensive library and multiplatform support will add to
Parameter's portfolio of market leading suppliers of illumination,
cameras, optics and other software", adds Michael Cohn, CEO of Parameter
AB. "Thus, Parameter will be able to offer new and even smarter solutions
to the market, because Parameter's business model is aligned with

MVTec changes distributor in the UK
|
|
|
(July 31, 2008) |
|
|
From August 1 2008, the distribution of machine vision software products
of MVTec Software GmbH, Munich (Germany), in the UK and Ireland will be
performed by MultiPix Imaging Ltd, Petersfield
(UK). Furthermore, MultiPix will provide technical support of
MVTec's products HALCON and ActivVisionTools.
Throughout the world, MVTec software users benefit from excellent sales
and technical support via local distributors. As part of this strategy,
MVTec has won back MultiPix as their distribution partner. MultiPix has
already been MVTec's distribution partner for the UK and Ireland until
2005.
"The UK is one of the most outstanding industrial markets in the world",
says Dr. Olaf Munkelt, MVTec's managing director. "Thus, MVTec wants to

Partner program training on GigE Vision
|
|
|
(June 26, 2008) |
|
|
The MVTec
Image Acquisition Partner Program already includes
25 well-known manufacturers of cameras and frame grabbers.
The program helps to provide the customer with the best possible
interfacing between software and hardware.
An ongoing information flow between the partners about each others
products is an important requirement for this.
For this reason, MVTec has invited all European partner companies,
which offer GigE Vision products, to a training on June 26 in Munich.
Representatives of numerous camera manufacturers (e.g. Baumer, JAI,
Leutron, Mikrotron, SVS-Vistek)
attended this event. Topics were the specific training for the
image acquisition interfaces to HALCON and ActivVisionTools with
the focus on the new HALCON GigEVision interface.
A "mini plugfest" during the training proved the seamless
interfacing of GigE Vision cameras to HALCON.
MVTec plans to expand the successful partner program with
further partnerships, and to invite more companies for trainings.

Some of the benefits for official partners include, but are not limited
to, various marketing materials (see the certificate and stand-up display
on the picture to the right), permanent loan of a HALCON and
ActivVisionTools development license, cooperation in image acquisition
interface development, maintenance, and support, and a dedicated
communication channel. Furthermore, coordinated software releases and
marketing efforts are part of the program.
